I Can Despise Life Sometimes
November 9th, 2007, 12:34 am
Why? Here are my reasons:
- Work has me busy. I always say being busy is good, but I can never satisfy my manager.
- Keeping house. ‘Nuff said.
- Dad had a mild stroke. Though he has been given a clean bill, I’m still worried.
- Trying to knit up FOs from WIPs.
- Trying to keep up with Moderating my groups on Ravelry
- Trying to post.
- Too stressed at the moment to get the rest out
By the way, one reason for not posting. During the nasty Nor’Easter this past Saturday, an attempted burglary of my next door neighbor was botched up when the teen-aged thief crashed into the maple tree in front of my house!
I need to take some time off. I just wish I could. =:8

I’m so sorry about your dad! I hope it was just a one-time thing.
And I’m totally with you on housework. I’m still trying to find a way to get the bunny to do it.

What a week! Girl, you need some yarn retail therapy! You know where I’m at!

I’ll keep him in my thoughts!

I’m so sorry about your Dad! It’s a hard thing to deal with. My mom had a series of TIA’s then a couple of strokes just over 6 years ago. I was freaked out and scared for a long time afterwards, but she’s come through it fine. She still works full time and has recovered 95%+ by doing everything the doctors told her to do to get (and keep) well.
I’ll agree with the retail therapy suggestion, too. =)
I hope things get back to normal for you soon.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. That is scary for you and he.
As for you, try to cut back a little and lower your stress levels. Stress does a real number on your health. Your plate seems very full.
Take time out for you. Long soak in a bath, go for walks, read a good book, etc.
Oh, stop multitasking! Get enough sleep.
(Lord, I sound like someone’s mother)

Life is certainly testing you, isn’t it? I hope your dad is well, and I hope you find something to relieve the stress. The housework sucks… I’m still not completely moved in and its been months. I’m getting ready to go back to Flylady.net. She was pretty helpful last time, even though she’s corny as hell.

Yes, it certainly sounds like you need a break. Surely there must be a way for you to take an afternoon off? (Or hire a cleaning lady.) =)

I’m sorry to hear about your dad, and am glad he’s doing better. Don’t worry about the house for now. Just do the basics and the rest will get done when things calm down.
Remember to take some time for YOU because if you get sick, who will handle everything you do??????
Hope to see you soon.

Oh that’s so hard when your folks are sick like that. Mom kept having episodes they thought were mini-strokes and even after they decided they were reverse migraines I was most worried about her.

Oh! That’s scary about your Dad, I’m glad he’s doing well. My aunt just had a stroke as well, about 2 weeks ago…so crazy. Big hug.

Sorry to hear your Dad was ill….such a worry but you have to believe him when he tells you that he is ok. Thanks for stopping in the other night with the felted hat…how did your friend like it.
I understand your stress…I had to take some time out on Thursday nights after feeling burned out from some overly needy people. Hope to see the Thurs. after Thanksgiving for Wine and Cheese.
