Ravelry: Summer Camp 2007

SUMMER CAMP RULES

You’ll receive your pal’s name by July 30th and you MUST mail your package by August 30th.

This a one time swap, so make your package count. We are sending care packages to our campers at summer camp. Make them feel they are missed.

Packages must have a value of $40 (not including postage) and at a minimum must contain the following things:

1.Letter from home. A postcard or picture of where you are from is always nice. 2.Some kind of edible treat(s). If you send chocolate please be sure to enclose it in something so that if it melts it won’t ruin your package. 3.1-2 skeins of yarn. Must be enough for a small project or socks. 4.Your partner might be homesick so one of the items must be local! Is your town/city/province/state famous for it’s handmade candy, fiber, etc? Anything that comes from your part of the world is great.

-This is an International swap! Please mark your packages as “gifts”.

-All packages should be RECEIVED by September 15, 2007. Please keep that in mind if you are assigned an international pal and mail early. Please let me and your pal know if you are delayed for ANY reason.

-Please note you are signing up for this swap at your own risk. I make no guarantees that your pal will not flake out, but I will try to get an Angel in case they do.

Once you send in your questionnaire, please be sure to join the Ravelry Summer Camp Secret Pal Flickr group. This is the one place we can post pictures and share our swap packages. You must join the Flickr group to participate in the swap.

I’ve got some fun contests planned and some great folks who are donating yarn as prizes. So far we have yarn from The Painted Sheep and Spunky Eclectic. I’ll add more names as more prizes become available.
